Guest tacha_maree
hey peeps my cabbys wheels nearly came of a few months back and since then ive had a judder when breaking ive changed the following: hub struts bottom arms trac rod ends was going to replace the steering rac but checed it today and its fine the front brakes have been swapped for es cos calipers and discs..... which has now made the judder 10 x worse cos the cab actually stops now. was thining it could possibly be a drive shaft? it has also been suggested that it could be an engine mount? any advice would be much appreciated

Guest steelcabby
maybe the discs are warped, are they new? if your wheels were very very loose they could of got buckled. also maybe your wheels need balancing? something simple could cause juddering. Guest markeyboy
as steel cabby said, it is normally associated with having warped discs, if the discs are in relativley good shape you may get away with giving them a light skim as i know they cost the earth to replace
Guest tacha_maree
no its not the brakes it was doing it with the standard brakes on so put escos discs and calipers on which i now are fine. theyve just amplified the juddering as they actually stop the car where as my old ones didnt. the bolt holes are good as hub was changed. wheels are balanced and have spiget rings on. thans tho guys
Guest steelcabby
if you got better brakes, it will stop better anyway. if its mk4 the only other thing i can thing it would be is the track control arms. else if mk5/6 it could be either the top mounts or cup bearings juddering. not much else really. unless you have a loose anti-roll bar or mashed bush there somewhere it might help just to check your gearbox and engine mounts too for breaks or looseness.
