Air Box Filling With Oil And Won't Start When Hot

was wondering if any one can help me, just carried out full engine rebuild and getting oil leaking out of air box once hot. and if switched off will not start until cooled down

did you clean out all the oil breather pipes? thats the only thing that springs to mind, had it on a 1.4 mk4 yrs ago

The oil in the air box is like Charlie says, check the oil breathers are clear.

 

This in itself shouldn't stop it starting though. The starter sounds at fault regarding the starting problem. They get really hot and stick with them being so close to the exhaust.

 

To help it, I'd take it off and fill it with WD40 give it a shake and pour it out. Repeat a couple of times. This is only really a short term fix but might help. IMO A replacement starter is whats needed really.
