Guest enzodj
Hi, I have a problem with my roof, it just doesn't seem to open or close fully, i've taken some pics to help me explain. As you can see the the rear frame is catching on the plasic mouldings for some reson, when pushed into the retaining clips its near imposable to get it out again. When the roof is being closed the roof latches don't seem to match up, it seems like I need an inch or more to make it close. Any help would be much apreciated as I live in london and its not the nicest part and i'm having to leave the roof open at the moment. Guest enzodj
Heres a pic of it from the outside, as you can see its quite visible to car thiefs. As you can see I need a new roof but funds are tight, this ones going to have to do for now unless I can get it fixed for the time being. Guest SiV6Si
The roof at some stage has been removed, You need to remove all the rear panels and trims, Check the 3 17mm bolts that fix the frame to the car. I had this problem until i reset the pivot points by undoing and retightening the 3 bolts. After that it didn't touch.

Sorry not quite sure what you mean resetting the pivot points, do you slacken off the 3 bolts and move the whole frame forward ? Any help much appreciated
Guest SiV6Si
take of both rear cards. You will see the 'bracket' the roof Pivots on, it is held to the car via 3 17mm bolts, If you slacken these off and then close the roof ( lock it down to its windscreen catches ) , this will 'reset' the pivot points for the frame. Guest BAVO
Hi did what was suggested on here and slackened of the 3 bolts, but there is no movement in the holes ( the holes are the same size as the bolts ) so didnt make any difference, tried disconnecting the rams and pulling the hood up by hand still no joy. also reconnected the rams and undid the tap on the pump and pulled up up by hand still needs to go another inch before the pins sink in the windscreen holes. Any more ideas guys as desperate
