Guest juicegreen Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 HI guys, Im on my second Escort now and once again have had idle problems. The first time it was cutting out and the second time was reving up to 3000 constantly. I replaced the idle valve which did not sort it, so i took it to a friend who cleaned out the Air mass Sensor(MAF) and tried that to no success. Then we had another think and realised the ECU would need to settle down with all these new changes. So we decided to remove the power to the ecu by taking of the negative battery connection for a couple of minutes. After re-connecting the engine run perfectly..... Moral of the story is ( Disconnect the bloody Battery ) after any work or replacements Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
