As the weather had cleared up yesterday morning, me and the bro in law decided to have a go at fitting the spare roof(complete with frame) i got with my car as the old one was ripped and mouldy looking.

All went well and all was done ina matter of hours, however there is a problem. We have found that the roof seems to "bent" more to the right hand side of the car and needs pulling over when putting it down. I think because of this there is a number of small gaps around the roof of the car. As the roof (and the frame ) is 2nd hand and has been sat in storage for a while ,could it have bowed a bit? We have fitted it now and have clamped it in place as it should be when shut so hopefully it will bend back into shape but im worried as i still have to cover it up to stop water getting in.

We have checked all the rubbers and seals and replaced some of the damaged ones from the good seals on the old roof.

Can someone post some pics of a good fitting roof in places such as top of windscreen top of windows etc.

These cold climates are not ideal, vinal SHRINKS in the cold, always best fitting them on a Summers day as they are more plyable, when adjusting it I suppose the next best thing is to possible put a leccy heater inside for half an hour or so the loosen the top and use hot water for the sides mate !!!

Ive just left the roof on for the meanwhile all strapped up as normal. Hopefully that would stretch it. Got the turbo transplant happening soon too.
