Guest notroubleclu Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 Ive got another good condition roof to fit (complete with frame etc) as my old roof is ripped and mouldy.Its a mk4 xr3i cab. Can someone do me a step by step guide to swapping the lot over and how long it roughly takes? Ive looked everywhere but nothing in detail is available. Ive been given an old looking cable which ive been told goes round the back but is it better to get new cables (sides and rear) as these i can get for about £30. Guest Eggsy Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 remove the two rear speaker pods undo cable with 2x10mm (best to replace WITH NEW CABLE AS THESE OFTEN SNAP) remove roof from under the lip around the boot undo 3x17mm on each side take roof off same in reverse to fit try a flat piece of wood on some cardboard to bang the roof & cable back under the lip hope this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
