Guest neiloggy1
managed to get the top panel off so i could get to the blower motor cleard all debris it was easy realy, just remove 4 hidden screws on the panel, undo nescessary wiring on harness and battery,i removed wiper motor for easy access and it just slides out nice n easy,no rust or signs of leaking into car, now i croosed a live wire from battry to blower motor and it works[so it aint the motor???] i then crossed a live from battery to the switch and the fan works[so im guessing the switch is ok] i also noticed no sparks when i crossed live from bat to live on switch so iam now guessing that there is no live feed to the fusebox does ne 1 know what i can do now????? is it possible to make my own live to fusebox and stick fuse on for safe measure will this cause ne problems ?????? i also just noticed rear seat passenger side is wet??? oh no more investigatin lol, neiloggy

Guest markeyboy
to get the fusebox out you need to unplug everything, there are a few clips that let the front end drop down then (i think) you unhook it from the rear iv got a fusebox in my garage that came off a 1.8 si saloon if ur interested mate a broken wire can be hars to find, best bet is to get yourself a multimeter and check from end to end, and a haynes manual / decent wiring diagram to help ya find out what colour wires you need to be looking at

Guest Cabbytech
I cant remember now if you have a mk5 or 6 lol, if its a mk5, the wire that feeds the heater switch should be black/red from fuse 14, this fuse is fed from the ignition relay R26. if you have a mk6, then the feed wire should be violet/black, and is fed from fuse 20 in the fusebox, this fuse is fed from the ignition relay R7. good luck, and let us know how you get on..
