Guest kaighn80
ok ive looked for some info on the v6 duratec conversion and some people are saying that you need to run the mt75 gear box? why? the standard box fits with no problems ive swapped a 2.0 into my mk6 and ive used the standard ib5 box that it came with with no problems, all the bolts line up and the startermotor fits. it negates the need to run a hydrolic clutch and all the bits needed to get that working properly, the drive shafts are unchanged and the speedo is right. as far as i can tell all the recent engines from pinto till now use the same bolt pattern cvh zetec l4 duratec and even the diesels seems like a lot of trouble with no gain. having had my rant i am interested in what needs to be done mount wise as im going to put one in mine i want an easy power hike and as the yanks say bigger is better. any help much appreciated ta very muchly
