Guest sparky1985 Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 ok i think i have smacked me head on sank because i now have a crazy plan i cant get rid of so here goes lol i plan to take a complete focus dash and fit to my project car i know the clocks are digital and i know i can fit newer escort digital clocks with a slight conversion so i need some advice and guidence i know i will have to either try and fit the stalks off of the focus as the lights are on a switch also the hazzad button is in the center of the dash but thats just a case of a slight rewire lol what i need to know does anyone know how they mount up also can anyone get the wireing for the clocks so can convert it over also any ideas about heating how can i convert it to 4 speeded or should i try to keep the escort controls on the bonus side i will locate boot relese to the dash so all i can say is HELP ME PLEASE Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Escort Cabriolet Club Posted November 13, 2008 Share Posted November 13, 2008 Mate your going to strugle getting it to fit, you might do it but I personaly would save my money and effort, Mk4 Dash in a Mk3 and a Mk6 in a Mk5 is different as there for the same cars, this is out of a totaly different Car !!! Do a Mk6 Conversion, every one I know who has done it were very pleased with the results, you can also fit Late Spec Mk6 Escort Van dials, they are digital or Puma dials with a little conversion !!! Escort Cabriolet Club Posted November 14, 2008 Share Posted November 14, 2008 Up to you mate, if your wanting to change the dials and heater controls to Focus the fair enough it could possibly be done, but as for a full Focus Dash, thats just going to end up on the scrap heap as the door cards won't even fit !!! I just sound realy negative but I just don't want you wasting your time hacking away at your Cab !!! If you want somthing different then do the Puma Digital dial conversion and my Heater Control upgrade, both are very impressive !!!
