Guest Rojar
My 97 Mk6 1.8 ghia has a strange idle problem. Starts and runs fine with no problems, pullslike a train etc etc. The problem is sometimes idles at around 1500 revs. A qucik flick of the throttle doesn't settle it down. I have found easing the clutch with the brakes on to drop the revs cures the prblem once the revs drop to nromal idle speed the engine will then idle nromally once the clutch has been dipped. Any ideas? My first thoughts maybe the throttle position sensor is sticking a little.
