Hi,

Basic stuff

1.Large red wire direct from Battery, same place where this bolts onto Starter a smaller red wire will go to your alternator.

2. Trigger wire (normally blue) on Escorts will come from your ignition switch through a relay in your fuse box directly to you starter, this is the cranking part of the circuit, this can be found on the round black electrical switch at the end of your key lock on the steering colume, there will be other wire there as well !! but its easy to find the correct wire just buy turni9ng the key right the way round.

If this car has had previous alarms fitted before its would be a fair bet to say this circuit has been cut into at some point so you might well just need to run another wire from the back of the switch to the starter.....but always use a relay or you might overload the wiring.

It sounds a lot but its so easy

What part of essex are you,if your near Harlow area i can recoomend a very good auto electrician......but be warned they are not cheap, you would expect to pay at least 100 pounds for a mobile visit.

Steve.
