Guest markeyboy
iv got normal escort lowering springs on mine, the front feels realy solid, as i would have expexted but the back seems a little too soft and bouncy does the job tho there are some cabby specific springs avaliable somwhere but they are a bit more expensice (dont know where tho)

I had my last escort -40 on 205/10/17 with a 38 offset, no rubbing whatsoever even fully loaded mate. I did notice the cabbys are lower to begin with though. Guest SiV6Si
like i mentioned already pete, my cabby is on STD escort ( tin top ) GMax Set up shocks and springs. All is good, the front looks 50 mm drop and the rear looks 60mm drop but it handles fine.

Guest PeteUK
what about -40 springs on standard shocks? I've got 205/50/16 on mondeo alloys to put on so it might be a squeeze. I suppose I need to put the wheels on and have a look how low it is as standard.
Guest markeyboy
iv got a 40mm drop in mile with 205 45 17 wheels the only thing i would say is try to cet the ones special for the cabriolet models, the ones i had on mine were actually softer than the origional ford ones, (only on the rear) didnt have any trouble with scrubbing unless the car was full and i hit a dip on the motorway
