hi not sure if this is the right place to post this but....

ive got a mk3 cab i think its lowered by about 40mm and i got 17s with 40 profiles ,the arches have been rolled but i still cant put anyone in the back cos it scrapes (think its against the shock at the back?) just wondered if there was any way to remedy this????

cheers

hello mate if it is scraping on the back shocker and not the arch it self you have 2 options 1 change the wheels for ones with a different offset, 2 fit a set of wheel spacers just wide enough to clear the shocker but not so wide as to catch the arch this to me is the most obvious choice. but it will be up to you mate hope this helps thanks eddie.

yeah mate the joys of 17s some hit the shock some hit the arch generally quite easy to sort eg spacers etcjust work out how big a spacer you need to clear the shocker but not hit the arch and hopefully that will be job done mate if needed you can get longer wheel bolts from the likes of speed shack etc

will that bit of the arch not roll a little bit more to clear the wheel if not your going to after change the springs for slightly higher ones like 30mm ones or if you are needing tyres soon go to lower profile ones hope this helps

the arch is properly rolled and the tyres are 40s as it is!!!!so i think new springs are in order ,may just go to smaller wheels if its a choice between a high back end,not keen on the way it drives with the 17s looks wicked though!!!
