hello everbody i have a f reg mk4 cabby which as been standing for a while i have just decided to sort it out get it re mot and taxed etc but i seem to have a problem with the brakes as they seem real spongey which i don't remmember them being like before it stood for a while can't understand why this as happened any help or advice would be great. second thing i would like to know is does an as escort rs turbo exhaust fit on an mfi non turbo engine without being modified, also i see quite a few of you have 17" alloys on your cabs does anybody know of any 17" alloys that fit without cutting out or rolling the rear arches any help with these questions would be grateful. thanks eddie.

you may need to bleed the brakes to get all the air out, my mk4 had the bush where a vacume hose connects to the master cylinder was knackered, relpaced it (only about 3 quid from ford) sorted out the spongey ness and made it idle a little better too
