Hi, all.

I have a 1996 ford escort si cabriolet, my problem is that when i drive my car over about 10mph my ABS light comes on and stays on until engine is turned off. When starting the light comes on and goes off as it should, but after i reach 10mph is stays on. I have cleaned and checked all four wheel sensors, they all appear to be ok, (they all give the same readings for current and voltage output, and have the same resistance).

Does anyone know what else i can do to resolve the fault, is it possibe to test the ABS pump? I have read about a relay going faulty, can anyone explain where to find it, as my haynes maunal is sh*t!

Hello

Relays should are right hand side of the dash down in the foot well behind the fuses,Remove the foot well trim panel and undo fuse board clip and fuse box will drop.

Hi scolly, might be worth paying someone with the the correct diagnostic equipment.....not all readers are that good !!, to plug it in and fing the fault, your ecu will hold the fault in its memory and it still thinks that there is a problem even if you have fixed it, expect to pay anything from 30 quid to 65 depending where you go.

It will be well worth the money to pin point the fault and save a lot of time.

Steve.
