Guest pukoman
so ive been after a set of grey inner door handles for my all blue since i got it,the guy previous had put black in place of grey, after searching and searching for a decent set with no luck or selling for anywhere from £55+,well out of my price range!finally bit the bullet and decided to restore instead. so i bought a cheap set off a well know auction site for 5 quid, far from mint plenty of scratches a few deep ones and plenty of brittle patches,so a fair old state, started of with a good rubbing down with 40 grit sand paper and went all the way up through to 1200(feel free to go higher if you feel necessary)over all finish after a clean and a bit of are polish is excellent, but obviously now smooth instead of the dimply texture of the mould,no need for any spraying and trying to find a colour match, definatly worth a go if anyone finds themself in a similar situation and a 3-4 hours spare. crashtest
i did mine last year i used 1200 wet or dry and then textured them using a mid tex spray and finished them with ford mid grey plastic spray. all the rattle cans can be bought from a good motor factors or even halfords ect but at over twice the cost. they stil look good a year on and i spent less than a hour on them
