Restoring Plastic Bumpers

Hi, I'll try this again as my last posting attempt didn't work. I'm just finishing off the cutting and polishing of my m reg purple solar that was VERY badly oxidized and faded. I used solvol autosol first (a tip from an old bodywork repairer friend, applied very carefully by hand) followed by T cut paste, then T cut restoring polish. This has brought up the paintwork like new, but I'm not sure this will work on faded plastic bumpers and mirror surrounds. What can you guys recommend to restore painted plastic to its former glory?

yes it's colour coded bumpers and mirrors. I think Ford call the colour light plum, but it has become so faded that it now looks pink. Solvol Autosol metal polish has brought up the bodywork a treat but I can't get the colour back on the plastic parts.

thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a try and post some pics when it's finished. If I can get it shiny again my wife says I can keep it (bless her)
