Guest lincsragtop Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 hi all have just got hold of h reg escort rag top and have a few problems with it and the main one that is driving me nuts is the main beam wont work at all it wont flash or come on perminant.it has had a new light stalk fitted buy the last owner infact he tried 3 in total so im ruleing that one out i have checked fuses first of all and am trying to check the relay but i havent got a clue what colour it is or what position it should be in as there are a few spaces. also what mk is the h reg as iv bin told a few different answers thanx for any help given Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest lincsragtop Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 H reg is a bit tricky could be mk4 OR mk5 is it the squarer one (mk4)or the pointier one(mk5a)??hope this helps its the pointier one but it has the seperate grill ie its not in the bonnet. as for the headlight problem i have been playing and got a tester out and found out there is a relay missing witch has a blue out line on the fuse box so iv put a 4 pin relay in i have high beam but just on one side and there is no feed to the drivers side in the fuse box slot for that side help!!!! is it beacuse its a non ford relay or have i got a further gremlin to find?
