This is about my Peugeot, but someone may have an idea whats going on. My central locking won't stay locked. As soon as you lock it, it pops open again. We've checked the doors, opened and shut them all, but nothing.

Any ideas or suggestions?? Its a real pain!

Thats what I thought but we checked the doors and found nothing. Other half thought it had done this before and it was something simple but he can't remember what and I can't remember it happening at all!!

i have the same thing on my xr3i.

first you need to find what lock it is.

unplug one lock, ie boot, then try to lock it again. if it still wont work plug that back in and uplug another. keep doing this untill it locks, then you know which lock has the issue.

from there you can try to solve it, maybe its jamming or the motor is getting old and knackered.

hope this helps  (even though i have not given a real solution to the issue lol)

Hi guys, thanks for the suggestions. No it hasn't been just washed, sadly its not seen a wash for a long time! LOL

We tried with the doors but can't work out which one it is, it just didn't work when we tried each one. Looks like a garage job I think,

Thanks Trace

I had a 306 some years back that did the same thing !!

Just trying to remeber the fault, I know the door locking pins would sometimes get stuck.

Still not got it fixed. Other half has looked it up on the internet, tried the things on there. Would seem like its a big wiring job now so I want the doors de-central locked.

have you had any wires off or done any work in any of the doors....someone on here had that problem a while ago and the only way I could think could happen is if something happened to the lock/unlock wires crossed over or shorted out in one of the doors (similar to if there full of water as markey says)

if you have the haynes for it send us a picture of the wiring diagram and i will see if i can make any sense out of it

check the wires where they pass through the body especially, as the 12v feed is earthing out which is causing this i feel. so check the insulation of the wiring for cracks or splits and you will find the culprit.
