Guest Blackbess
I have just bought some new orange indiactors and went to fit them today, but the fitting is totally different to the ones I have in, although they are the same shape! See pictures below: Not sure whats happened or what I can do about it. Is there something that I can get or make that will convert my current fitting to the screw type? Guest Dazzaas
if i remember right the orange ones are original fitting the bolt that holds headlight in screws into indicator that was factory fit type
Guest ANDYA
Totally right Daz, all you need is the small bolt Bess. Andy
Guest Blackbess
Hi guys, Any ideas where you can get the bolt from? And just curious, what is the fitting on the clear ones and why was it different? Thanks Trace
Guest ANDYA
Bess, have you tried the new indicators for fit. I'm a wee bit worried that they might be for a MK 4. Andy
Guest Blackbess
I will recheck tonight although they do look identical and the box says Mk3 Escort on it. (fot what that is worth!) Thanks Trace
Guest Eggsy
Trace, they're definatly MK3's - you should have a bracket that comes out from behind the headlamp adjustment on the headlight that slots into the indicator, push in it @ the top & then it clips in @ the bottom, the top is screwed in & if my memory serves me right it should be like a rounded nut that I then think the headlight then sits into. Tbh you would probably be best to remove the headlamps 1st to fit the indicators as I'm sure that there's a little sort of wedge allong the inside of the indicator that sits behind the headlight. Hope this helps Eggsy
