Guest streetwolf
L reg mk5 was running when i pulled it in the garage a month ago come to it two weeks ago but wouldn't start had a bit of sun so pushed it out the garage to work on it a bit ,it still wouldn't start had a few alarm immobilizer probs but used to always start then the door packed in opening when alarm button was pressed on the key fob, with having no locks or door handles i couldn't leave it out side so brought it in back in garage not running to rip all the alarm and immobilizer out and put back to standard so now Ive rip the wires out and join them back to were they are meant to be but car still not start so i look deeper into it today and found that Ive got spark on all plugs (found one broke but still sparking) and it seems to have petrol as you can smell it so as it stopped running b4 i took alarm out and still not running now I'm scratching my head fuel cut of don't no were it is has it got a button you can reset ? (the fuel pump is priming) :icon_cry: i think its fuel as it goes to fire very slightly most mornings but could b my dodgy wiring wot you think any help plz or just someone to point me in the right way wood really be a help
Guest Cabbytech
Hmmm. the fuel cut off reset button is under the cover down to the right of the accelerator pedal, you should see a red button on top of a little black box..but if you can hear the pump priming, its unlikely to be that... Above the reset button, there should be a relay, usually green, this is part of the ford built in immobiliser, and they can suffer from damp, it could be this relay may need replacing, could be worth a try.... Let us know how you get on.....
