We have a bit of the laquar peeling and would like to get it sorted - went to Halfords too many Paints to choose really. Just want honest answer and where to obtain please. Guest ANDYA Posted April 4, 2008 Share Posted April 4, 2008 Kenny, Markey's right. It's on the bottom row of the VIN plate 2nd in from the right. Also Halfords always say they can match any colour so it might be worth taking it to them and let them work it out. The other thing I notice is that you refer to the lacquer coat peeling. If it's only the lacquer, then you may not need paint at all, only the clear lacquer coat. At least you won't have any shade matching problems. Guest lambretta1968 Posted April 5, 2008 Share Posted April 5, 2008 Cheers Guys for the reply. My wife started to rub it down with wet n dry. We're now waiting for a nice day to give it a spray. The lacquer has flaked quite bad - more you rub it more it comes off/flakes. we're going to give it a coat of clear to see how it goes - we've been quoted £400 for a Passenger door and rear NS spray.
