Guest no2lurch
here is my car... http://www.escortcabrioletclub.co.uk/forum...showtopic=11872 i dont know what suspension is on it, but the car feels every bump and pothole. i a thinking about going back to standard suspension for a softer ride. (as to not wake a baby in it all the time). if i did go back to tandard suspension, would it make much difference?
Guest turbocabbie
why not use Koni adjustables.... soft when the baby is in and stiff when you want to have fun.. twist of a nut

I can post pics if you want a look They are standard RS shocks.. little firmer than standard but still jelly in a bowl if you need anything else I can send that with the courier, make a list

Guest turbocabbie
turbocabby - pm waiting for you. Here they are standard shocks and springs, front shocks were painted blue to match my car....(got all four springs even though there are only 3 in the pic) ... not mint buffy standard, but they do not leak and were good on my car. If you want them they are yours either we can meet up in London somewhere for a drink or you can pay a courier to collect them.... no sweat either way for me Edited February 10, 2008 by turbocabbie

Guest no2lurch
i'll take them mate. get tem boxed up and weighed, and i'll arrange coolection. can i ask a question... for the fronts, do i just undo the top nut and bottom 2 bolts and they pull straight off? are the damper and spring one assembly? for the backs, jack up the car and take the springs out seperate to the dampers? then top nut and bottom bolts? You are correct in what you say, the backs can be entertaining to say the least to get off... have a nut splitter and some swear words to use at appropriate times
Guest no2lurch
the other thing is too, i presume i just swap the strut mounting components over? mine will fit yours wont they? i have been looking into a nut splitter too, and i cant use one on the front top mounts. reason is because the nuts sit lower down than the strut tops.
