Guest markeyboy
not to sure if the bits from the 1.8 zetec and the 2.0 fir, i would assume that they do. you will not get much gain at all by doing this tho mate. best thing to do is get a induction kit and ditch the cat. that will see ya a bit more of a gain than the other bits failing that ya can drop a 2.0 in for not to much hassle

Escort Cabriolet Club
Love your Cab DUANE, looks COOL !!! I will be doing the following to my 1.8 in the future, not sure if you can do them but the following mods are good for power gains and can be done for less than £450 if you look for bargains on the likes of eBay !!! 1. K&N Fillter 2. Stainless back-box 3. De-Cat Pipe 4. 2.0 MAF Sensor 5. 2.0 Throttle Body 6. 4 Branch Manifold 7. Mondeo 2.0 136 BHP Cams 8. Better Plugs and Leads If you don't believe my prices, I got items 1, 2, 4 and 5 for £120 !!!
Guest ajs_20
Induction kit waste of time please trust me on this if its the later Zetec with the 'upside down' inlet manifold then its a waste of time. The throttle body and MAF are pointless without the cams. Decat yes but be prepared to kill Lambda sensors and fuel!

Guest markeyboy
gota change the sump, oil pick up, flywheel, ecu, maff sensor all the bits can be nicked off ur 1.6 lump accept ecu and maff they will need to come off of the engine
Guest ajs_20
yea i recommend this also. you get alot more torque as well as 40 bhp more power! if you were really minted for money i would really recommend an RS2000 motor but tbh its a bit extreme, a hell of a lot of work and the 2.0 zetecs are good engines.
