Guest 802655774 Posted October 29, 2007 Share Posted October 29, 2007 Hi all, i have just changed my heater controls and clock bulbs to blue leds and they look great,the only ones i have trouble with is the top ones in the instrument cluster they are a bigger bulb, i think they are model 194 ,anybody know if you can get blue led replacements??also fog light front and back and heated window switches are for sale on e bay already converte to blue anybody had any and if so any good? Escort Cabriolet Club Posted October 30, 2007 Share Posted October 30, 2007 Hi Mate, I had the same problem on my Mk5a, you can't get that type of bulb in LED form as its a weird type lol !!! Plus, if you did replace them with an LED buld they would be facing the wrong way, see the illistrations below !!! This is how they are in my Mk5a !!! As you can see the bulbs face away from the opening !!! If you fit LED bulbs you need to angle them !!! All I did was get brand new ORIGANAL bulbs, removed the old Orange fillter, you might have the light blue one, and replaced it with Vivid red gel film, my clocks were back lit with White LED's and front lit Red, looked safe !!!
