Guest talisman
sounds about right, if the fluid is low it will take ages to create enough pressure to move the roof. If its going down electric then theres nothing wrong with the pump or its internals, recon it just needs a top up. Have a look in the back, there is a tank on the back of the pump, it should be about 2 thirds full.

Guest talisman
What sort of fluid, regular powersteering fluid ? (when i tried my hood nothing happen at all!) best bet is to go to fords, they are very expensive to repair if they break, so i only put the fordy stuff in. There are 4 releys in the circuit, 2 of them are under the dash 1 is the ignition circuit and stops the roof from opening when the engine is running. T he other is the reverser circuit that tells it to run in reverse. If you hear the motor when your dropping the roof but dont when you press the up button one of the releys could be faulty.
