Guest apples24
hmmn strange one went to operate roof today and nothing, no noises atall just nothing, so checked lives at switch, lives etc at pump and relays etc, basicly my friends mk6 was there also so i just compared were i found lives etc and they were both the same , i have noticed that the fluid is below min ( roof up) does a low fluid level make them not work atall ie no noise~? Guest Justin
bearing in mind that they are hydraulic, id presume that it would do nothing, if there wasnt a pressure with the fluid.. top it up and see if that sorts it.. would appear to be most likely bearing in mind that you have checked the wiring. which mk is it and do you know which fluid you need to top it up with.. i know what it is for a mk5.. Guest markeyboy
even if the fluid is low you should steel hear the pump running, if ya cant hear it try feeling it as somone presses the switch if all the lives are in the right places and you are getting power to the pump then it may be a nackered motor/pump, sorry
