Mfi To Efi

would it make a big difference if i swop over to efi, and chip the ecu? would i get better hp?

in my opinion benny it's swing & roundabouts

efi is easier to modify - ie injectors ect ect

but i'm not really sure on the limits of the mfi but there are 5th injector kits available (i think its more down to ecu management)

Jamie @ jamsport can get you 250ish with a worked head, efi conversion, newman cam & go-tech standalone managment (2k ish done)

i think that it is the actual abilitly to map the ecu properly that is the problem & a stand alone is probably 1 of the best routes to go after converting to efi as you can get a map to your spec - mind you LIVE the mapping alone will cost you £500+

efi seems the way to go for reliable power hikes

BUT HEY PEEPS THIS IS MY OPINION

:icon_salut_gb:

ask tony benny he's well clued up on this sort of thing

dont forget its not turbo'd, and mfi are mechanical injestion and dotn really have a ecu to chip? ive looked into 5th injectors for mfi and been told no! you have to have amodified dizzy, so thinking swop to efi, then chip to the mods i got, only got a kent cam and full wexhaust sytem, and i'll be able to get a nice air filter too instead of a panel filter, my car runs at 150, thats it limit, without lighten and balancing and gas flowing(but thats just daft money), i dont wanna go turbo i like n/a fun im thinkin it may be a cheaper alternative to a few more hp? should be able to push 165-170 by chippin an ecu?
