Guest sjc
hiya stokie babe....the light could be doing its job and telling you youve got a slack belt in one of your abs modualtors, they have a switch on that monitors the belt inside, best to get a haynes and look at braking chapter, theyve got pictures there or this link will take you stright there http://wheels.vc.org.ua/petrunko/escort/0686-09.pdf hopefully :big_wave:
Guest massive Moooooo
Top the fluid level first if its only just level with the min mark this can course it be on for couple of mins then go out this would also course it to come on during acceleratoin as the fluid moves back from the sensor so light goes on this should also happen under braking to once youve ruled that out it could be the belt tensioner sensor that is a little lose not a hard prob to fix but a little aqward to get to while checking these try the tension of the belts as one may very well be slipping hence the problem accelerating its usually one of these if you unable to check tension jus take it to a local garage that youve used regulary in the past and they check it and not lie and rip you off hpe thats of some help :icon_salut_gb:
