  1. I had a good old look under my car and was amazed at just how good it is underneath, I got a little carried away and with the help of my son we removed the rear bean axle and petrol tank, It was a easy enough job and all the nuts and bolts came off without a fight. Today I intend cleaning the axle and repainting it,The shocks and springs all all in top condition as well as all the bushes but saying that I will replace them all since they are off the car. The petrol tank is not so good as the car lay in a garage for years and is showing signs of rust from the inside out. I may as well replace it, Now that the axle is off there is lots of room to clean under the wheel arches, I rubbed off some of the road dirt off with my finger tip and there is signs on nice paint under it all so I am going to arm myself with a bucket of soapy water and see whats under all that dirt. My plans are to start from the rear of the car and work my way forwards cleaning painting and replacing parts if needed. Then engine out clean around and under the engine bay, It may seem a little odd but the car has only done 12000 miles and all these jobs I am going to do will keep this car on the road for years to come. I am going to look out my camera and document it as I go along...Gibby
