Hi guys, I have fitted an new roof skin to my mk5 escort, when closing the roof, the drivers side pin locates straight into the pillar hole but the passenger side wont by about 1/2 inch, which leaves a gap between the front edge of the roof and the screen frame, everything looks straight in the roof mechanism, any help on a fix would be appreciated. The roof skin it self is new and quite tight and I have not cut a hole for the rear window yet.

Hello, Its been a couple of years but did you managed to solve this issue? just replaced the skin for the roof and is really tight and I have finally managed to latch it closed manually and I am now having the same issue you have described. I am hoping you could tell me how you resolved this issue. Thanks in advance, Ryan
