  1. Hi Guys, I wondered if there was anyone out there that can assist me! I have a Mk5 cabby that I am gradually restoring and recently had the beast resprayed, although unfortunately the guy that did it talked a good game although wasn't quite as clued up as he thought. The hood was obviously loosened in order to undertake this, however upon completion he was unable to properly refix the trim that retains the hood to the rear of the car ( near the boot). This now means the hood cannot be used as once the hood starts retracting the rear of the hood springs up as it is no longer held in position by the said trim/ rubber. Do any of you guys know if this had some kind of tackifier to hold it in position when initially installed or can anyone suggest a solution please?
