I bought mine from eurocarparts.com. Product code 705590931. There is normally some kind of discount promotion.
Got the full system very cheap and fits great. Just had to cut a small piece from the exhaust hanger to stop it knocking.
I was told it was the same system as a tin top. All fitted no problems.

Put a gearbox bolt in. Then use a screwdriver or pry bar to lock the ring gear.
Then get someone to crack off the flywheel bolts.

Hi. Does anyone know where I can get hold of a glovebox lid latch for a mk4.
I stripped the dash out to fit a new battery tray but can't find the latch anywhere.
It is held onto the dash with 2 Phillips screws.
Have tried breakers yards and people breaking on eBay but with no results.
Thanks.

I got mine from east Kent trim supplies. Not the cheapest things to buy but look great against my new paintwork.
Quick delivery and good communications.

Mileage history doesn't add up on mot history check. .

Appears to be a solid car tho. No advisory on any corrosion in the past.

Hi. Tried to message you but says that you can't receive messages. Don't know why.

Hi. I'm slowly restoring my 1987 cabriolet and my next task is the corroded battery tray.
I have access to a mig welder and have a little experience with welding but not sure where to start.
I have bought a repair panel but not sure where to start. Do I fit the full panel or cut it down and weld what's required.
The main bulkhead around the servo is fine. Just a hole under where the battery sits. I have removed all the carpets and sound deadening. Not sure how much of the dash would have to come out.
Any pointers would be grateful.
Battery drain.

Hi.
I have an Xr3i cabriolet 1988.
ever since I bought this in 2015 it has had a slight battery drain.
it’s ok day to day but if left for about 10 days it goes flat. New battery was fitted.
I have noticed last night when connecting the charger a relay clicked in the fuse box.
Then carried out battery drain test with relay connected and disconnected. This appears to be the problem. As is constantly activated.
relay V is for excess voltage protection, fuel pump and dim dip lighting.
just wondering if this should be constantly live and where the feed should come from.
thanks.
