  1. Start with the obvious checks like battery condition and check the output of the alternator. After that you need to start looking at the starter motor and the wiring. Check all the terminals are clean and tight to the starter. Then check all your earth straps. Their will most likely be one to the gearbox housing and another from the inlet manifold bracket.

    A common problem with the starters are that they become very hot from the exhaust downpipe and over the years it takes it toll on the grease etc inside the starter. If this is your problem whilst the engine is hot It will give flat battery like symptoms. The most common fix for this is to replace the starter with an early model transit connect diesel starter. They are a direct fit and are stronger. Hope this helps.

    An easy format to select a photo and upload it would be good.

    Unless it's already changed, I think most people have to try and use photo bucket or similar.

  3. Lancaster it is, covered from midnight £192 fully comp. now to get her taxed for august and get her along to her first ford fair.

     

    I know i wont be on club stand like many of you guys but was wondering if any of you expierenced lads in the cab world would spare 10 mins to look over my new toy. Im not new to fords but its the 1st cabriolet i have ever owned and would value any opinion.
