sounds good to me seeing as the zetec breaths better with less back presure then the cvh did i think you heading on the right track me i had standed manifold mated to a rst exshaust so it was straight throught with one box plus its sounded better ,,,,, for some reson the noise level out the zetec seams lower to i think its just the zetec has a lower tone its deeper not the cvh tinynes hope that helps a bit

well its your car so you need to like it , but for me the two tone cabs should have the strips on to brake up the paint coulors but single coulor cabs should have the strips remover and on white its a yes unless its mk3 with the rs stripes . but as said you need to be happy

looking good nice to see people trying things for there self ..... also once done drill it and fill with exspanding foam . will help it not to flex and crack paint also will stop it sounding hollow when shuting boot and will cut down vibration hope that helps i do try

also a 195/50/15 wheel and tyre will stand the same hight as a 205/40/17 depending on tyre the car will not be any lower with smaller wheels unless you go to 14/13 inch...... if you go with a 40mm ofset you will be safer in regards to not rubbing and suspention , i will say coilovers but then i have set the car up for fast road/track , but for standed everyday road car i would go with top ajustables as you can sofen the ride if not to your likeing ie being hard or make it hard if your doing a track day plus cheeper . hope that helps i do try lol

it dont mater it 8v 16v 24v 36v 124v , the ecu will cope the only time it will not is if its 5 cilinder or 6 cilinder or more efi turbo manigment for a 4 cilinder will work on a efi turbo 4 cilinder see how it works ?

when you say large sound system like what ? and what battery you using for your sounds ...... ? yellow or red top ? on the escort there 2 alternators are 55amp and 75amp if you want to up your power output of you alternator you wiill need to get one rewound normaly £1 a amp so 100 amps=£100 or you could just keep the engine running when playing your system hope that helps

you do not need a efi tank ........... i think you geting muddled up with carb and injection .... as thay are difrent im running a bloody st220 v6 engine on a mfi tank with standed pump i was runing a st24 on a mfi tank with standed pump i was runing a 1800 zetec of a mfi tank and standed pump i was runing a 1600 efi on a mfi tank ......... depending how you want to go you could use the rs1800 ecu loom and graft into the escort loom as the fester engine loom is seprait from the car loom or you could change the escort loom to a efi escort loom and ust that to deristrict the engine and run it ,,,,,, theres many ways to do it but its all down to hw good you are with a spaner theres a fue sites dedicated to zetec conversions ...... with people like myself that have done them before ...... may be worht a look
