There are 2 nylon bushes & 2 springs. If you ask for a gear linkage repair kit

I have just looked on ford microcat & the part (finis) number for the nylon bushes inside the gear stick are 6172154 & you should be able to get them from fords.

I cant wait for this show to catch up with all the show crowd & I will be showing off my new white roof on the cab (fitted on wednesday 2nd September)

Hi M8, All MK4 speakers are 100mm or 4inches. I have got some 130 watt kenwood 3way 100mm speakers to replace the standard speakers in my cab. I have heard these before in 1 of my cars before & they sounded very clear & good. I did have a low band pass box with 2 x 10inch kenwood subs in my boot, it was a bit too big to get my spare wheel. Hope this helps

CVH engines dont have adjustable tappets. I would advise either soaking the the tappets in oil or replacing all of them

Hi M8, Glad you got it sorted. If you get anymore problems with the cab, give me a shout as I am only up the road near kings lynn.

There are 2 places that the iscv could be, 1st place I would look is on drivers side inner wing behind the airbox with a hose connecting from the airbox & the second place is on the right hand side of the inlet manifold as you look at the engine. If your engine is a '89' it should be on the inner wing.

My temp gauge runs at the same as you gauge does & I have checked my coolant system, there is no probs with my system.

If the decal is an original from fords, the edges of the sticky part should line up with the edges of the boot lid. Hope this has helped.

S2 Rs Turbo is a quick upgrade from the standard XR3i brakes. You will need 260mm Disc's, RS calipers & caliper mounting brackets. I have done mine & it took me a couple of hours & that includes bleeding the front brakes

The mounts are different on a MK3 box to a MK4 box. the MK3 box has a rear mount & front mount, the MK4 box has a under cradle with front & rear mounts attached. Hope this helps

It was a very good turn out with a few new faces. All the cabs looked lovely. Even though I will be moving away to norfolk, I will try & get down to the meet as much as I can. Brilliant Evening. :-)

I would use the blow torch for a little bit of HOT SPANNER treatment

Nice collection mate. I will be moving to a village just outside Kings Lynn so I wont be too far from you to see the MK4 Collection in person. I hopefully will be having a collection on my driveway when I move.

I use 5w/30 fully synth castrol edge in my 90 EFi cvh & I dont have any problem with the hydraulic tappets making noises. I have never used flushing oil in any of the CVH's that I have serviced at work & I have done hundreds of them. Hope this helps.

The black plug with 2 wires looks like it goes to the distributor. Are you working on friday, if not I come over & give you a hand.

Hi & welcome to cabby land. Fords only made 1 wiring loom for the escort range which covered all models ( LX thru to Ghia/Cabriolet), so there should be all the wiring to convert from manual windows to electric windows, to change from the manual roof to power roof you will need all the power rams, pipework & pump. You will have to check where the electric plug is for the pump.
