If it's 90 spec has it got the fuel computer,if so I think it has the 4 inch tank opening rather than the 2 inch ,I struggled to find the bigger sender unit on mine.
Lol, am not sure but I think the last run of cars were classed as mk7, not sure if any body panels or front end differ from a mk6 or may have been interior changed, perhaps someone will enlighten us, am sure sonny will know.
Seems a bit cheap, would of thought it may fetch a bit more than that. Real way to find out is take good pictures and put it on eBay,although you can get messed around at times with buyers you might be supprised.
Was gutted today sun out and could not get the mk5 out of the garage, was all locked with no one working ,will have to wait for the first test drive and pictures.
Cvh engines do run hot m8, make sure your coolant level is ok and fan cuts in ok, but you have to get used to it. What I have done is to wire a switch to the fan so if fan does not come on I can switch it on manually.
Putting your car in the garage is more important than an alarm. There are many alarm/imobileisers available for these cars costing from 200 - 1000 for a tracker,it really depends how much you are going to use the car. At present I don't have one on either of my cabs as they are not daily drivers only show cars.
Amazing 24 hours, having been given 8 weeks to vacate my rented lock up at the rear of local ford dealer as they are shutting down, the mechanics have done 24 hours of work on the mk5. It now has an mot,and all the silly bits that may have taken weeks have been done in a day. Besides a good. Clean and a few bits of trim its almost ready to go back on the road after 7 years. Pics to follow.
Am sure it's the same as ollies father in law Bob,his is an e plate with the same colour seats. Look on the Facebook page on photos, you may have to go,to the 2014 pics.
Worth checking as my efi fiesta turbo cost a fortune to repair when the cam lobes had worn so bad. If the engine feels realy sluggish then its time to investigate a worn cam.
If engine has plenty of pulling power then chances are its not cam related.
