I cannot get this to work.   Have Taken the wire off, connected to earth and the gauge goes right up, so i know this is working. The senders come with different colour tops, have tried a dark green one, blue one and got from ebay a pink one, this is the one they said i needed with my chassis number, but neither work, the gauge goes up slightly, bottom of the white but still no luck.   Anyone have an idea what else it could be? its a 1991 Mk5 H reg   The only other thing i can think off is

Anyone ever installed a Sub into a Cab that wasn't in the boot? I need my bootspace for rock climbing gear, photography gear, kayaking gear... yadda yadda. Is there anyway to get a sub somewhere else that I haven't thought of?

Heres what the mk4 boot looked like when i took all the trim out....     After a bit of hard work and a lick of Hammerite Rust Protection paint the results are amazing!!
