Brakes Please Help I Am P***** Off

Hi All,
I am currently getting a MK3 back on the road after a 9 year wait in the garage.
I am now about ready to put it in for a respray, unfortunatly I cant get the brakes working and feel like giving it a good kicking.
Due to cleaning up and painting, all the brake system has pretty much been taken apart and a couple of pipes replaced, yet when I come to bleed it I cant seem to get the fluid to flow and the pedal goes to the floor. No air also seems to be coming out.

Help With Making The Brake Lines

I am making up some new brake lines for my MK3 XR3i 1600 with Vac and was wondering what material they are meant to be made of copper or Aluminium and what type 3/16" or 1/4" tubing.
