Hi all have got a mk4 xr3i cabriolet that has had a 1.8 engine from the mk5 xr3i put in it. The problem is that whoever did it only changed the engine but not the wiring loom or ecu. the car runs but is pretty guttless. i have been told that if i change the ecu for a mk5 one it will run fine but i am not sure. i am debating whether to keep the engine or change it for the original mk4 xr3i 1.6 engine.
