Hello All, I post this as a result of four not only frustrating but expensive weeks of trying to fix my Mk5 1.6 Zetec ford escort cabriolet (1995 reg). I bought this car for my wife as a non runner, with what was described as a faulty thermostatic fan control switch. When I picked the car up the owner had shorted the fan control switch out to make the fan stay on constantly, which allowed me to drive home with the temp gauge staying between 1/3rd and 1/2th of the way up. little while ago a mate took the back of my ignition off and snapped the clips to put it back on so it keeps falling off , i have tried to bodge it with glue but no luck , does anyone know where i can get the little black bit with the wires already soldered to it from please there arent any on ebay atm but deperatly need it as the car needs to be back on the road by 1st april     thanks matt

my brother in law has a mk6 cab with a problem we struggling to sort so i thought i'd ask on here for him its had a new water pump on but it continued to leak so he has replaced again and taken all water pipes of and flushed them and also replaced the radiator started up and still the same continues to leak from water pump so thats another one for the bin any advice please as cant keep buying water pumps lol tia
