f40 cab
hi everyone just found this kit on ebay, looked intresting, now they say that this is a rieger wide arch kit and cost's £2000, ok the price sounds right but that kit doesnt look like mine , how many wide arch kits did rieger make correct me if im wrong but i thought they only made the f40 one that looks similar to this. if intrested please ask questions as might not be origanal rieger kit. rieger cabriolet this is what the rieger f40 kit looks like. looking at the rear arches behind the doors the intake vents look different. Guest enzo
looks a bit like the one they did 4 the mk3
Guest Alanman
Its look similar to Reiger with the shape of the arches but I dont think it is Reiger. Like you say the rear air intake looks wrong, its not got the door skin and the skirt are no way big enough. The Mk3 and Mk4 kits are the same, they do make a smaller kit called the GTA and GTB but they're just a toned down version of the F40.

Guest Alanman
well 2 reasons, 1 my bumper had a disagreement with a dip in the motorway, and 2 im looking at ideas for modifying exahaust need to get under car to take measurements and stuff, so easyer with bummper off. lol Have you thought about side exit. We looked into it coming through the side skirt just before the back wheel. Only reason we were put off was because we have a dirty RST lump and didnt fancy cleaning the side of the car and the wheel all the time. lol. Or maybe a pair of huge twins at either side of the bumper. The kit is big enough to take it. You could have it coming through the boot floor and out the boot lid, but that'd be just stooopid, surly. hehe. Alanman
Guest scorpion
i have the rieger bookshop. it's an f40 bodykit for mk3 cabrio. it is a bit larger than the mk4 on the rear arch. but i think the front bumper is a realy f40 mk4 cause mk3 is not the same light and bonet. 1st: escort gtb (mk 3&4) , 2nd: escort gts (mk 3&4) no hole on rear arch on them, 3rd: escort f40 (mk 3&4) , 4:escort f40 mk5. f40 kit got hole in rear arch. not any more bodykit from rieger. Guest Alanman
its the panique wide arch bodykit like this one http://pistonheads.com/sales/172235.htm I really like the look of that. V/Nice. Look clean too. I do actually like the Kerscher one too. Oh and the RS1700T for the Mk3. Okay I'll admit it, I like big butts. There, I said it. lol. And scorpion, mate, the F40 kit is the same size for both mk3 and mk4, I ordered a new bumper for ours last year and there was no difference in order numbers for mk3 or mk4. Guest fatboy billy
i think the mk3 front end simply has the grill removed and smoothed over as the rest fits the same
Guest Alanman
Sorry, I meant just then back are the same but you are right about the front. I original had a Mk4 front bumper on ours and simply cut the bar off, then the car had accident and we replaced it with the correct Mk3 and the only diff was the bar.
