Guest stevemrst Posted May 4, 2014 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Hi Has anyone had any luck reffiting this piece of trim that runs around the bottom of the back of the roof ???...I done all the rust spots it and now when I replace the trim the roof seems to push it back up again ..I have searched around the forum but no one has a definite answer ....Any new news on this silly problem Cheers steve Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Rustler Posted May 4, 2014 Share Posted May 4, 2014 Hi Steve...... Yes.... I had a similar prob' after I had my new MOHAIR roof fitted . In my case it seemed to be only the O/Side rear corner and half of the back run. With the roof down I managed to gently tap the rubber down with the aid of a 4" to 5" piece of wood and small hammer . Which seemed to work on 80% of the seal , but I'm still left with the corner section lifting slightly , but only about half way up. I Might try some of that new "SERIOUS GLUE" by EvoStik if it gets any worse . By the way I didn't have to cure any rust first..... in your case the extra coat or two of paint may well be the cause of the prob...... Good Luck M8....... ..................Rustler..............
