Guest Milkey
Hi all, The cabby's just developed a problem with the temperature gauge. When I take her for a run, the gauge goes up as normal to just above the cold marker and stays there for a few minutes, then it shoots straight up off the charts!? I don't think the car is actually overheating as it seems to go up too quickly. I'm thinking it may be a sender or a wire earthing out somewhere? Has anyone else come across this? Thanks, Dan. lenny f
Sounds like the sensor on the head take the wire of and earth it out if the gauge goes to hot then that is OK so it will be sensor

danmk4escort
or the temp switch is faulty and the wax ellement is nakard or theres a brake in the single wire off the front of the engine and its earthing out and making the guage shot up to the top
