Guest suffolk04
just brought a full half leather interior on ebay for £60 :wow: good condition, execpt the ususally bolster wear on the drivers seat. has a look, was going to swap the ones out of mine, but not sure if it can be done. the base is one piece (unlike the recaros). so can't strip the sides down

Guest 6tracy9
I know what you mean - the seats need re stuffing on the bolsters, I spoke to my local re trimmers - the guy that did my interior and he said it would be approx £100 per seat for a re stuff,
Guest edy
the seat base doesn't strip separately like the recaros, so wondering now if its a one piece base ye it sounds like it is one picece, might be worth a look on ebay, i did have a look but i want to replace the recaros with other recaros but the decent recaros seam to hold there money. i didnt know the recaros stripped, now i do i might give the recovering a go myself (if i mess it up i could always take it to a repairer somewere) the right kind of material is about £10 a metre (dont know if that is good, or even if a metre would cover a seat) i dont know if there is any sewing involved (if so there is a woman up the road, me dads mates wife, she might possible help me out, shes pretty handy with a sewing machine i no this might not help those without recaros but if your like me and didnt know the recaros come apart, i found this for ya all, its only ment toshow taking the headrest out but it gives a prety good idea of the rest seats
Guest suffolk04
i need help now people, just stripped old seats out of car, put the new back seat in, locked the back rest in place, but now it wont release. i no the latch works, because it release the old ones, and i put grease on it to stop it seizing, but it wont release the back seat. thought it would be a 10min job, just gone over an hour now,

Guest suffolk04
how can i tell if the rear seat release latch is no good, or its a cable fault? doesn't say anything in the haynes manual. its getting a bit scary when i brake, the back rest falls and the trolly jack ends up in the car
Guest edy
i havent looked at them on the cabby, i belive that there like door latches, get a screwdrivler and close the latch with it you can feel it lock. the pull the cable and if it pops open you will know it works fine. i cant really see why it wont close give me to=ill tomarro to inspect how it works (too dark now) but for now all i could suggest is eather put somthing heavy onthe seat or use some duct tape to tape it to the rear parcel shelf. Guest edy
right had a quick look today for ya. it is bassically a simple door latch sort of mechanism. this first pic shows the latch part, if it looks like this its wrong, its in the closed position, it shouldnt have the metal part in the gap, the gap should be straight through if you know what i mean (bassicly that middle metal part should not be there) this image is the back of the latch in closed position. this is what it should look like in open position all i can think of is part of the mechanism is catching so i would take it off, clean it check the operating of it and spray it with a bit of white grese or somthing like that. just post up if you have any other problems. also you can adjust thecable which might be a problem your haveng, hence why it isnt unlocking it, it just adjusts the lenght of the outher cable bassically. good luck, and if you have any trouble post again or pm or somrthing
