Guest badgerdid
Sounds like it could be the switch or the wiring from one side, up side.
Guest Eggsy
It may sound daft but have you checked the fluid levels??
f40 cab
ok like said in other posts check fluid level in pump, i think it needs to be checked when roof is open. then check wiring to the switch them switches can be a pain not all connectors used on them so maybe a wire on wrong one. relays new bet that was expensive heated front screen relay £26. Guest DJB29
heres how i wired my conversion works perfect pin 30 to the pump pins 85 and 87a to ground pin 87 to +12v(permanent live I believe) pin 86 to the switch. both relays are wired the same way, one makes it go up and one down which does what will depend on how you connect it at the pump end so if the switch sends it the wrong way swap those connections over. Don't forget to use fuses in the 12v feeds. 30amp to the pump and 15amp to the switch theres a diagram of this setup under useful cabrio information(power roof conversion)
Guest cotter1982
will get the wiring checked, its my first cabby so dont really know much about them, how do you check the fluid? F40 cab the relys were only £12.50 each from ford,
