Hi all I have recently bought a mk6 and the brake pedel is very firm and takes a lot of effort, is this normal? and if so is there an upgrade I can do so there is less effort?

I think you have a single pole one, you need a two pole to make it work, Is there any way I can get your contact details and then I can speak with you about what you need.
I can then order a suitable switch and give you a wiring diagram to do the job, all free of charge I'm not out to make any thing just help out!
I am away on site next week so would be after that.

A 2 pole double throw switch with centre off should do it but I do not know how much current the motor takes, I suppose the fuse box would answer that

Thought it was a mater of 12v dc across roof pump motor for one way then swop wires over ie reverse polarity and pump motor operates other way.
As it's a dc motor you swop the + and earth to make motor run in reverse
Obviously the two relays do all this when you operates the roof switch

I have asked for the current owner from DVLC and proved we owned the car for nearly 10 years and explained that we sold the car due to unfortunate circumstances at the time and now we wanted to buy it back but they say no.
If any one knows any other way of finding current owner please advise.
