Guest Frencch Tony
Hi there everyone. My name is Tony and I live in SW France. I have just acquired a LHD 1986 Escort Mk 4 Ghia Cabriolet. It is entirely rust free and is a very early model with the 1600 carburettor engine. Odometer reading is 66000 km but I think it has covered 166000 km. This is my first Escort Cabriolet and I am getting some what I call "low speed scuttle shake" i.e the steering wheel moves around at low speed as though the body is flexing slightly. It improves at higher speeds. Is this normal for a cabriolet or do I have some form of suspension problem?
