Dog Leg Wheels??

Hi, Got a question about the numbers on dog legs, My mk4 cab has got them on and the numbers are:-

 

6Jx14H2E36.5 same on all

 

86AB-EA same on all

 

5-88A on two front ones

 

4-88A on two back ones and spare in boot.

 

 

 

Then i'v got a brand spanking never been used(was a spare from another XR3i) with its original mint condition dunlop sp sport D3 and it has:-

 

6-86A (other numbers same)

 

My cab is F reg 1988, does the 88A match the year?

 

Why the 5-88 and 4-88 have two been replaced? or are front and back numbered different?

 

Anyone know or care?
