Guest Matthew Davenport
Someone told me today that my near side brake lamp wasn't working. Pulled out the bulb holder and saw the reason - it was a normal bulb not a (2 filament) brake lamp bulb. Put in the correct bulb now but both filaments are lit so the brake light is permanently on. The offside lamp is working fine so thr problem seems to be confined to just the near side cluster Can anyone shed any light on a solution? Not sure how it passed its last mot with the wrong bulb in! Last mot was under the previous owner.

Guest Matthew Davenport
I've sorted it now but not sure how! Just swapped the bulb over with the offside one to check whether it was a bulb or unit problem and its fine now.
Guest El87cabi
the bulb might have been in the wrong way round, i have seen them fitted incorrectly before, glad it wasn't anything serious
